Why do you thing we are at war?

It's gotta be over oil. It's my understanding prior to our invasion we got no oil from Iraq, but that about a year ago we tried to get them to promise to sell us 75% of all they pump. Sounds like it's oil to me. If it was to rid the world of Saddam how do you explain our support of other ruthless regimes in the region? I had a college professor once tell me it is a myth that America plays policeman to the world--we do not protect the lambs from the wolves. Anytime we commit U.S. $'s or troops to another region of the world we do so to protect U.S. interests, end of story.
