According to the string theory, can we phase solid matter?

I dont remember where but in a movie I saw about that said that if u stick to a wall long enough like million of years eventually your hand would end phasing the wall, the number if years required is not because it really requires long time but because the probabilties of that are so low that that time is required for a match like the lotto, if that is true then is it possible that with technology we will eventally be able to control that and thus we would be immortal?
